eBay: VeRO / rights-owner removal: what the notice means and how to structure your appeal
Listings removed after a Verified Rights Owner report.
Appeal key points
- Contact the rights owner if you believe the report is wrong.
- Reply following the instructions in the eBay email (e.g. MC999 / MC011 subject line).
- Provide exactly the documents requested; answer in English where the email requires it.
- Explain the facts briefly and what you have changed; avoid unfounded or repeated appeals.
- All evidence you submit must be genuine and unaltered. Never create, edit or backdate invoices or documents.
- Do not open a new or second account to get around a suspension; all three platforms prohibit this.
Evidence checklist
- Invoices / authorisation
- Original content proof
- Rights-owner correspondence
Where to appeal and deadline
